Can I use edpnet telephony with my current modem
If you choose an edpnet telephony subscription, you will need a modem which supports VoIP (internet telephony).
The FRITZ!Box modems fully support VoIP. The FRITZ!Box 7530 can be obtained at edpnet.
In case you would like to use a different modem, check out some options below.
- You have a modem without VoIP functionality: If your modem does not have a telephony port, you do not necessarily have to buy a new modem. You may buy an IP phone and connect it to the LAN port of your current modem;
- You have a modem with VoIP functionality: If your modem has one (or more) telephony ports, you are ready for edpnet telephony;
- You have a device supplied by Proximus: B-box2/Sagem and B-box 3v+ (the most recent model of Bbox 3) support VoIP. Keep in mind that the prior model of B-box 3 does not support VoIP and cannot be used with edpnet telephony;
- You have a USB Modem: edpnet telephony is not compatible with USB modems.
